Job summary

A healthcare organization in Coleford is looking for a Support Practitioner to ensure the safety and wellbeing of learning-disabled adults with Autism. You will provide personal care, help with planning activities, and support individuals in living life to the fullest. Autism Waking Nights Support Practitioner – Join Our Team!

Your role may include providing personal care, administering medication, and maintaining a calm, supportive environment. You will also keep accurate records and work closely with your team to deliver high-quality care.

You will support individuals prepare for activities they enjoy. This may involve planning their weekly shop, budgeting for an event, or encouraging independence. Whether it’s getting ready for a gig, outdoor adventure, or social outing, your support will empower them to live life to the fullest.

A professional qualification in health, education or social care is desirable. In addition, you must also have previous experience supporting individuals within a social care, education or health environment.

The individuals we support can have some challenging behaviour, therefore, previous experience supporting individuals with Autism is essential.
