Are you looking for a diverse role that is fun, stimulating, and rewarding every day?

Creative Support is seeking a warm and caring Waking Night Support Worker to join our friendly Extra Care team at Station View, Barrow-in-Furness. We provide quality care and support to 31 residents in a lively service comprising 41 self-contained flats. Our residents are over 55 and have a range of needs including Dementia, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. Support needs vary, with some requiring extensive assistance such as hoisting, and others only prompting with medication.

No two days are the same at Station View, as we support residents in following their passions and engaging in activities like movie nights, gardening, day trips, and meals out.

Your Role Will Include
  • Providing consistent, respectful personal care, medication administration, manual handling, and domestic tasks.
  • Developing warm, trusting relationships with residents to help them enjoy their time at the service.
  • Encouraging residents to participate in social activities both within and outside the home.
  • Working full-time hours with shifts from 22:00-08:00.

We seek passionate Waking Night Support Workers dedicated to providing person-centered care to older people. Good communication skills and respectful personal care are essential.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Previous care experience is required, and a passion for supporting older adults in a friendly environment is essential.

Station View is conveniently located in Barrow-in-Furness, near the train station and town center, with excellent bus links to the Lake District and surrounding areas. Local amenities include a Bingo hall and the British Legion club with live entertainment.
