Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for Waiting Staff with a friendly, can-do attitude to join our client's beautiful gastro restaurant / hotel in Burcot, Oxfordshire. This role offers the option to commute or live on-site, and includes one free meal per day when on duty.

About the company

Our client is a 400-year-old gastro restaurant run by their owner and head chef for the last 16 years. In 2019, they added 9 boutique hotel rooms to allow guests to explore Oxfordshire and The Cotswolds.

About the role

As a member of the Front of House Waiting Staff team, your responsibilities will include:

• Adhoc duties such as restocking fridges, stocktaking, etc., as required
• Displaying a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor, making every guest feel special
• Welcoming, greeting, and assisting everyone entering and leaving the building
• Maintaining the restaurant area's cleanliness and tidiness
• Taking food and drink orders accurately
• Delivering food and drinks to tables when required
• Clearing and resetting tables

About you

For this role, you must have:

• Recent relevant experience in a similar role
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Own transport or ability to use public transport (not essential for live-in staff)
• Availability to start within 1 month of accepting the job
• Excellent people skills, flexibility, and good communication skills
• Good command of the English language
• Strong work ethic and outstanding customer service skills

Hours and rewards

The role involves working 47.5 hours per week over 5 days, including weekends. You will receive:
