Job summary

Ru on Ann Street in Belfast is recruiting Waiting Staff to deliver warm, attentive service and help shape a new guest experience. You will take orders, suggest menu options and work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service across lunch and dinner shifts.

The role offers a dynamic hospitality environment, with opportunities for growth through CPL training, NVQs and other development programmes. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar front-of-house role/ bar-restaurant environment (minimum 6 months)
• Cocktail experience is a bonus
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service to all guests
• Take orders accurately and confidently, offering menu recommendations and sharing knowledge of food and drink
• Ensure tables are presented to a high standard and maintain cleanliness throughout service
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service flow
• Handle guest queries and feedback professionally, ensuring a positive experience at all times
• Support the wider team with opening and closing duties
• Prepare drinks to a high standard as required

Located on Ann Street and open daily for lunch and dinner, Ru will be the first to open amongst a number of adjoining venues, including a pub, cocktail bar and terrace, vinyl listening bar and club space in 2026.

The role

As waiting staff, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding dining experience, providing warm, attentive service and working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The rate of pay for this role is £12.71 per hour.
