Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed term, full time position of 6 months.

The shift pattern for this position is 0800-1600.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Waiting List Team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). General Medicine (South Sector) provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the population of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the West of Scotland.

The General Medicine inpatient service is primarily based at the QEUH and Gartnavel General Hospital. Outpatient services are located on three sites, Gartnavel General, New Victoria and QEUH The Service supports an extensive range of specialties and sub specialties, , Respiratory, Cardiology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Immunology and General Medicine.

The ability to work under pressure, managing deadlines and responding to changing priorities is essential. Experience in waiting lists and health record processes is essential. Experience is required in workload management and problem solving across the work area. The post holder should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to set up documents and maintain and update databases/spreadsheet (excel/pivot tables knowledge and Sharepoint.
