A healthcare service provider in the UK is seeking a highly motivated Waiting List Adviser to manage a centralized waiting list for patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience in an office environment, with a focus on accuracy in data management. This role is key in ensuring efficient processes and patient support within a busy healthcare setting.
A vacancy has arisen within the Referral to Treatment Team in Health Record Services. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, conscientious Waiting List Adviser who will be responsible for the management of a centralised inpatient and daycase waiting list; this will include keeping all associated data accurate and up to date.
Waiting List Advisers are the primary point of contact for patients on our waiting lists and should therefore have excellent, effective, communication skills whilst working in a busy environment where waiting times targets will be achieved.
Historically, patients referred for surgery/endoscopy procedure were booked from the waiting list by each department separately. Now, most endoscopy procedures/theatres are booked by a centralised waiting list team of Waiting List Advisers.
The successful candidate should have, as a minimum, Standard Grade English, Maths, computing qualifications or equivalent work experience in an office environment. Previous Health Records experience is desirable.
