Job summary

Kingsheadbesselsgreen is seeking enthusiastic Waiting/Bar Staff to join our pub team in Sevenoaks. You’ll deliver excellent service, greet and seat customers, take orders, serve food and drinks, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with year-round availability in line with pub hours.

Snuggly tucked into the corner of Bessels Green, and within walking distance of Sevenoaks station, is this cosy gastropub. Featuring two large open-plan dining rooms, kitted out with three open fires, a small snug bar and large patio and beer garden.

Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Waiting / Bar Staff. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering excellent service, ensuring our customers have a positive and enjoyable experience from the moment they walk in the door. Key Responsibilities

• Waiting Staff:
  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers with attention to detail.
  • Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
  • Provide recommendations and answer customer inquiries about the menu.
  • Process payments and manage cash/credit transactions.
• Bar Staff:
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Create cocktails, handle drink orders, and ensure the bar area is stocked and clean.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner.
  • Monitor customer intoxication levels and serve responsibly.
  • Assist in keeping the bar area organized and well-stocked.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in a hospitality role (waiting or bar staff) is required - minimum of one year.
• A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering great service.
• A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and at short notice if needed.
  This particular role requires you to be available all year round so not available for those currently at University.
