Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Waiter to deliver refined, attentive service to members and guests. You will work closely with the floor and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth dining experience that reflects the Club’s professionalism and discretion.

Your duties include greeting guests, taking orders, making recommendations, and guiding guests through to payment. A background of 2–3 years in a similar environment and availability for weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume settings and remain calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable and customer-focused.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to follow training and club procedures.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members and present menus.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and note dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely service.
• Provide menu recommendations and pairings.
• Maintain pristine tables and proactive service throughout the visit.
• Process payments via card, Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion when serving VIPs.

Working closely with the floor and kitchen teams, you are responsible for ensuring a smooth dining experience while reflecting the Club's standards of professionalism, discretion, and excellence.

Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations and paying of the bill.

Key duties…

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and ensure immediate engagement upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating any allergies or dietary needs.
• Deliver a seamless service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely and correct order delivery.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.
• Maintain exceptional table service - top up water, wine, and beverages proactively throughout the member's stay.
• Ensure a pristine environment, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.
• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility to create memorable, personalized experiences.
• Support seamless payment through card, the Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
• Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.

• 2-3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
