Job summary

Soho House is seeking a professional Waiter to deliver refined service to our members and guests. You will work closely with floor and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth dining experience that reflects the Club's standards of discretion and excellence.

Your role includes greeting guests, taking orders, making recommendations, and processing payments through various methods. Join a dynamic team and contribute to memorable dining moments in a premier club environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintains calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and engage guests from seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, noting allergies or dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely and correct order delivery.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and pairings.
• Maintain excellent table service, including water, wine, and beverages replenishment.
• Ensure a pristine dining environment by setting up, resetting, and cleaning tables.

The Role...

At Soho House, a Waiter plays an essential role in delivering refined, attentive, and personalised service to our members and guests. Working closely with the floor and kitchen teams, you are responsible for ensuring a smooth dining experience while reflecting the Club's standards of professionalism, discretion, and excellence.

Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations and paying of the bill.

Key duties...

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and ensure immediate engagement upon seating.


• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating any allergies or dietary needs.


• Deliver a seamless service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely and correct order delivery.


• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.


• Maintain exceptional table service-top up water, wine, and beverages proactively throughout the member's stay.


• Ensure a pristine environment, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.


• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility to create memorable, personalized experiences.


• Support seamless payment through card, the Soho House App, or House Pay.


• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.


• Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.

What we are looking for...

• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests


• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School


• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed


• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
