Job summary

Soho House & Co. in Banbury is seeking a waiter to deliver refined, attentive service to our members and guests.

You will greet guests, present menus, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely delivery while maintaining the club’s standards. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-end environment, working with a close-knit team, supporting colleagues, and upholding discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Able to work fast-paced, high-volume shifts and resolve issues calmly.
• Hospitable, approachable, and customer-focused.
• Flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and engage upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating allergies or dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely and correct order delivery.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and pairings.
• Maintain pristine table service and proactive top-ups of water, wine, and beverages.
• Ensure a clean environment, including setting up and resetting tables and maintaining cleanliness.
• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility.
• Process payments via card, Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially with VIPs and PWKs.
• Attend briefings, tastings, and assist colleagues where needed.

The Role…

At Soho House, a Waiter plays an essential role in delivering refined, attentive, and personalised service to our members and guests. Working closely with the floor and kitchen teams, you are responsible for ensuring a smooth dining experience while reflecting the Club’s standards of professionalism, discretion, and excellence.

Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations and paying of the bill.

• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
• Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.

What we are looking for…

• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
