Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Waiter to deliver refined, attentive service to our members and guests. You will work closely with floor and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth dining experience while upholding the Club’s standards of professionalism and excellence.

Your main focus is to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience by greeting guests, taking orders, making recommendations and assisting with payments, delivering memorable hospitality on every shift.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments under pressure.
• Hospitable and customer-focused with respectful conduct toward colleagues and guests.
• Demonstrated competency per training schedules and Club School.
• Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and engage guests upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating allergies or dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and correct deliveries.
• Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations and pairings.
• Maintain pristine service with water, wine, and beverages throughout the stay.
• Ensure a clean environment by setting and resetting tables as needed.
• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility.
• Assist with payments via card, Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion and professionalism with VIPs and PWKs.
• Attend briefings and tastings; assist colleagues to support team success.

Key duties…

• Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.

• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
