Department: Harrods Pasta Bar

Location: Harrods

Compensation: £14.17 - £16.00 / hour

Description

We are looking to hire a hard-working, energetic Waiter/Waitress to work with the front of house team at our restaurant, in the world's most iconic and luxurious department store, Harrods. Your primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be the face of our brand, ensuring that each guest feels welcome, valued, and delighted by both our service and our authentic Italian cuisine.

What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:

• Ensure the standards with regards to preparation and presentation of the restaurant are adhered to at all times.
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and maintenance of furnishings and equipment.
• Understand and adhere to the company’s rules and regulations on policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health & safety and licensing regulations.
• Ensure a safe working environment identifying potential hazards and taking corrective action.
• Treat company property with due care and attention.
• Ensure you are operating world-class service standards that showcase the brand.
• Ensure all checks are closed and posted at the end of each meal period.
• Follow processes and procedures to reduce wastage within the restaurant.
• Adhere to cash handling procedures set in place by the company.
• Ensure that menus are presentable and reflect the excellence of the brand.
• Maximize sales opportunities through excellent service and upselling techniques.
• Handle all customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily and ensure follow up, ensuring any situations are brought to the attention of Supervisor & General Manager.
• Develop a culture of actively seeking feedback from customers on a regular basis.
• Have complete and thorough menu knowledge, both food and drink knowledge.
• Attend daily briefings and respond to any necessary changes and updates.
• Be punctual, always following company absence and lateness procedures if unable to attend work as scheduled.
• Support the training of new employees.
• Adopt a “can do” culture within your team.
  
  

Who you are:

• You have a minimum one year of previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant.
• Ability to work under pressure. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner.
• You are committed to providing outstanding customer service and paying attention to detail.
• Be able to follow all instructions and comply with food health and safety regulations.
• You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• You have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
