Job Title: Hospitality Assistant / Waiting Staff (Maternity Cover)

This is a 1-year maternity cover vacancy, working 37.5 hours per week with the following shift pattern:

1. Early shift: 06.30 - 14.30
2. Late shift: 13.30 - 21.30
3. Weekend shift: 10.00 - 18.00 (including 1 weekend per month)

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Job Description:

As a Hospitality Assistant / Waiting Staff with Sodexo at HCR Officers Mess, SP4 9NY, you will play an important role in supporting military personnel on a Ministry of Defence (MOD) base. Your interactions will directly impact their experience, ensuring they have a positive and efficient dining experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Dining Area Setup: Prepare dining areas, functions, and meeting spaces before service to ensure smooth operations.
2. Food Service & Replenishment: Serve meals and replenish food stations as needed, maintaining availability and cleanliness throughout service.
3. Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service to military personnel in dining, retail, and other areas.
4. Cleaning & Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by sanitizing workstations, equipment, and dining areas according to health and safety standards.
5. Event Support: Assist with special events and functions, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
6. Teamwork: Collaborate with your team to complete tasks efficiently and to high standards.

Requirements:

• Professionalism and Respect: Maintain a positive attitude, communicate effectively, and show respect in all interactions.
• No Experience Required: Previous hospitality or food service experience is helpful but not necessary. Willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
