Job summary

Audley Villages is seeking a Waiter/Waitress for our luxury retirement village restaurant. The role covers a 37.5-hour week on a rota including weekends, and a driver is required due to the remote village location.

You will deliver top-tier service to Audley Owners and external guests, aiding with reservations, menu guidance, and event setup, while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality and handling cash (preferably).
• Taking pride in everything you do is an essential quality for this role.
• A ‘can do’ attitude and an organised approach that ensures things get done.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and driven by standards and sales opportunities.
• Hands on and flexible approach to daily duties and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Taking reservations, seating guests, advising on the menu and serving afternoon tea.
• Promoting the village and our luxury spa to guests and owners.
• Delivering warm, smooth service and assisting with guest suites and enquiries.
• Monitoring stock levels, helping set up for events and keeping areas clean.

*This is a full-time, 37.5-hour weekly contract, covering 5 days from Monday through to Sunday, on a rota basis.*

*You must be a driver due to the remote location*

The Role:

The Restaurant is set within our Audley Retirement village, the village has its own health club, library, fine dining restaurant, bar and luxury suites. Audley villages comprises of owners, who permanently reside on site within their own private homes but also hosts external customers. As our Waiter / Waitress you’ll ensure that Audley Owners and External Customers have the highest quality of service and experience. Thanks to you, owners and the guests who come to enjoy the exceptional food and surroundings at our restaurant and bistro will get a warm welcome and a smooth, seamless service.

Whether you’re taking reservations, seating guests, advising on the menu, serving afternoon tea, promoting the village and our luxury spa, or sharing a joke with regulars, you’ll deliver an exceptional service. You’ll also help service our guest suites, answer owners’ enquiries, keep an eye on stock levels, help set up for special events, and keep everywhere looking scrupulously clean.
