The World-Famous Tan Hill Inn is Britain's highest public house at 1,732 feet (528m) above sea level. Situated in the stunning scenery of Swaledale, near Keld, the highest Inn in Great Britain, it is a warm meeting place known internationally, where walkers and cyclists mingle and converse with people from the media, arts, music, film, and theatre.

Offering contemporary accommodation and locally sourced food, they ensure their customers have a first-class experience every time they stay or visit.

Please note: Although you will be primarily based at one site, you may be required to provide cover for staff shortages at their other site, which is 20 minutes away.

What this role involves:
  • Greeting and seating guests, providing menus and daily specials information
  • Taking food and drink orders accurately, noting dietary requirements and food running
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving guest inquiries promptly
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front of house area
  • Collaborating with kitchen staff for timely order delivery
  • Supporting bartending duties, including mixing drinks and serving beverages responsibly
  • Adhering to food safety regulations and best practices

Salary: £8 - £14.00 per hour, depending on age, plus tips.

Hours: Core hours are 8 am to 12 midnight. Full or part-time hours/different shifts available—16-40 hours per week, with weekends on a rota basis.
