The Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder is seeking a thoughtful, confident Waiter to join our Room Service team. The role offers a base salary of £26,039 with gratuities and service charge estimated at £8,300 per year, totaling £34,339 on target earnings for a 39-hour contract.

Qualifications

• Prior waiter or hospitality experience preferred; great attitude essential.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and serve food and drinks to guests in their rooms with warmth and professionalism.
• Provide picnic service for guests to enjoy luxury dining across the estate.
• Set up hotel amenities and gifts for guests arriving to their rooms; multitask as needed.
• Ensure Room Service runs smoothly and consistently for all guests.
• Interact with guests to exceed expectations and maintain Gleneagles’ 5-star service standard.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• Taking pride in coordinating and serving delightful food and drinks to our guests in their rooms with warmth, professionalism and a helpful approach
• As well as Room Service offerings, you’ll also provide a picnic service for our guests to enjoy luxury dining across the estate or whilst they're enjoying one of our many country pursuits available within our Glorious Playground
• You’ll help create memorable moments through organising and setting up hotel amenities and third-party gifts for guests arriving into their room; there's lots of multitasking involved!
• Playing a significant part in making sure our Room Service experience runs without a hitch, and our service is smooth for each and every guest
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

• Ideally you have previous waiter and customer service experience, however having a great attitude is essential
• Your perspective and approach are always fresh; no matter how many times an issue has been presented to you, to your guest it’s the first time
• An early bird some days and a night owl others, you’ll be working flexibly during the week and weekends
• You want to be the best and work with the best, learning from the experts in our team and sharing your knowledge with us, always with an organised approach and a determination to exceed guest expectation
• Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
• You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
• A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
