Listers Volkswagen Evesham is hiring a Vehicle Technician. You will diagnose and repair vehicles using state-of-the-art systems, supporting customers and collaborating with departments to meet goals. The role offers progression toward VW Qualified Technician or Master Technician with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Electric/Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential.
• MOT license would be beneficial but not required.
• Full UK driving licence is required or essential.
• Experience in the Automotive sector as Technician or related role.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring high standards first time.
• Electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings and more.
• EV/Hybrid vehicle repairs using diagnostic equipment, batteries and drive components.
• Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment as required.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and complete service paperwork to brand standards.
• Operate additional systems such as video reporting (CitNOW) when trained.
• Work with the workshop team to share knowledge and learn continually.

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Volkswagen Evesham. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm including 1 in 3 Saturdays.

Basic Salary up to £35,000 with OTE up to £41,000

As a Technician at Listers, you will be at the forefront of utilising our state of the art systems to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with all vehicles. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our customers vehicles, providing outstanding customer support, and collaborating with different departments across the business to achieve goals.

Role and Responsibilities

• Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
• The main responsibilities would include electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
• Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles such as the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
• You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting i.e CitNOW.
• You also will be able to complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.

About you

• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join Listers.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• MOT License would also be beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving licence.
