Listers Audi Birmingham, part of Listers Group Limited, is seeking Vehicle Technicians to service, repair and diagnose vehicles in a busy workshop in Birmingham. The role offers a clear career path with ongoing training and development opportunities.

You will be working a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00) with one in three Saturdays, and salary packages reflect experience with industry-leading pay plans and uncapped bonuses. Full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Experience in automotive service environment.
• EV/Hybrid qualification advantageous.
• MOT license beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repair and diagnostics of vehicles to high standards first time.
• Electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, brakes, and air conditioning servicing.
• Work on EV/Hybrid vehicles with diagnostic equipment and battery systems.
• Ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Complete service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Collaborate with workshop team to share knowledge.

Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for Vehicle Technicians to join Listers Audi Birmingham.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:30 -17:00, 40-hour week (1 in 3 Saturday mornings , averages out at 41.5 hours per week).

Our packages and new pay plans are industry-leading and are reflective of each applicant's experience and skillset.

• The basic salaries start from £32,000 up to £42,000
• Bonus / OTE’s range from £38,000 up to £50,000 (Bonus uncapped)

Ideally, we are looking for Service Technicians with Volkswagen Group experience but will consider all applications if you hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Role and Responsibilities

• Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
• The main responsibilities would include electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
• Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles such as the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
• You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting i.e CitNOW.
• You also will be able to complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.

About you

• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join Listers.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• MOT License would also be beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving licence.
