Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Volkswagen Commercial Droitwich.

The hours of work are 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8am to 1pm.

Basic Salary up to £35,000 with OTE up to £38,000 plus benefits.

Role And Responsibilities

• Servicing, repair, and diagnostics of all vehicles, ensuring high standards first time.
• Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning.
• Repairs on EV and Hybrid vehicles, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
• Fitting manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Understanding Customer Satisfaction and its impact.
• Operating systems like video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
• Completing service paperwork to manufacturer standards.
• Collaborating with the workshop team to share knowledge and learn.

About You

• Experience in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, or similar roles.
• Background in independent garages, fast fit centers, car supermarkets, or main dealers.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• MOT license is beneficial but not required.
• Full UK Driving license.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with a commitment to high standards.
