Job summary

Consult is seeking a Vulnerability Management Consultant to operate within an OI governance role, coordinating across multiple suppliers in a SIAM setup. The role monitors vulnerabilities, tracks remediation, and ensures consistent reporting and audit-ready documentation.

Based in Preston, on-site, the position runs for a 5-month duration, with a daily rate up to £607 (umbrella). It does not include hands-on remediation work and involves complex governance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security, information security, service management, or governance roles.
• Understanding of vulnerability management principles.
• Knowledge of CVSS, KEV and risk ratings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vulnerabilities from identification through closure and track progress.
• Keep vulnerability records updated by suppliers.
• Escalate overdue or high-risk vulnerabilities per governance channels.
• Coordinate with suppliers for vulnerability status updates and reporting.
• Produce routine vulnerability management reports and dashboards.
• Document evidence for audits and assurance activities.
