Job description

Bayada Hospice has an immediate opening for a Full Time Spiritual Counselor/Hospice Chaplain.

This Hospice Spiritual Counselor position is for home visits in Windsor and Orange Counties in VT and Grafton County, NH.

This individual will be a member of an experienced hospice care team that provides assessments, education and symptom management related to end of life care.

Hospice / care experience preferred, along with experience making home visits.

Responsibilities for a Hospice Spiritual Counselor include:

  1. Develop and adhere to the client's spiritual care plan.
  2. Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and family members.
  3. Complete documentation accurately and timely.
  4. Must be reliable and punctual.
  5. Must demonstrate an appropriate attitude.
  6. Participate in providing bereavement services to family members, referral sources, and the community.

Qualifications for a Hospice Spiritual Counselor include:

  1. Master's degree in Counseling or have graduated from an approved divinity school preferred.
  2. One year of experience in a spiritual counseling capacity in a health care setting, preferably hospice or palliative care.
  3. Must be willing to travel coverage area of office.
