Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and a demonstrated team player. You will be a main developer working alongside our technical team for the software development and solution design of new VR products.
In addition to new projects, you will be responsible for maintaining and understanding any legacy and long-term VR projects.
You will be working on projects for a variety of industries within the Group, in addition to exploring new and emerging platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience working in virtual reality and may have personal or shipped commercial projects as examples of their work. However, we are open to all applications if you have had a non-traditional route into VR development, we would be delighted to hear from you.
You will be working primarily in the Unity Engine using C# to develop projects for portable virtual reality headsets. The ideal candidate will also have a strong interest in extended reality hardware and will be aware of and enthusiastic in using current devices.
Additionally, you may be required to assist in the development of assets to be used in a variety of projects, e.g., 3D models, or animations, so any experience with designing 3D models, or using 3D modelling software such as Blender or 3DS Max would be beneficial.
This is a technical role, so the ability to understand and work within a variety of application delivery options is also needed. There may be call for developing non-VR-based applications as well, including desktop applications or WebGL apps.
