Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Private Bank Legal Group – Wealth Management Product Lawyer (Vice President) to provide specialist coverage on derivatives, structured products, and cash trading across the EMEA Private Bank.

You will coordinate with the business and regulators, handling complex negotiations and broad product coverage. The role involves advising on end-to-end deal execution, regulatory matters, and documentation, with opportunities to expand into other funds and products based on

Qualifications

• England-qualified lawyer with ≥4 years in top law firm or financial institution.
• Excellent knowledge of UK/EU regulatory environment with derivatives and structured products.
• First-class drafting and negotiation skills; ability to prioritise and manage projects.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical solutions.
• Ability to build strong relationships with business and fellow professionals.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Private Bank Structuring and trading teams; provide legal advice on sale/distribution of derivatives and structured products.
• Act as point person for equity and fixed income traders; advise on trading-related matters including IPO distribution and secondary markets.
• Stay updated on UK/EU regulatory developments (EMIR, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II) and advise on related compliance.
• Advise on trading documentation (ISDA Master Agreements, structured products programmes, F&O documents).
• Contribute to policy development and controls for existing and new products.
• Determine when external legal support is required and manage advisers.
• Collaborate with colleagues across EMEA and with Compliance and Risk Management.
