Job summary

J.P. Morgan in London is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Equities Sales and Trading Technology team.

You will help enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading products in a secure, scalable way, driving significant business impact through deep technical expertise. You will provide technical guidance, develop secure production code, review others' work, influence design decisions, and promote standard SDLC practices within an agile environment.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced in one or more programming languages.
Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, AI, ML).
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little oversight.
Practical cloud native experience.
Experience in CS, CE, Mathematics, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

Regularly provides technical guidance to support the business and its teams, contractors, and vendors.
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and operations.
