Job Responsibility:

How the role will make an impact:

Develops and implements sales strategies and directs the sales force activities to ensure the achievement of organic growth and market share development within chosen geographies and routes to market. Align all sales policies, processes and working practices to a standardised Quanex approach that delights customers.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with key stakeholders and President, creates and executes an international sales strategy with clear goals, performance measures and customer targets working with the sales team.
  • Manages key sales leaders to ensure maximum sales and margin growth, productivity, and customer retention. Oversees the targeting of key accounts, routes to market or geographical territories to ensure proper market penetration and that the plans align with Strategy.
  • Identifies and qualifies strategic high value account prospects by working closely with the senior sales leadership team and other key executive management.
  • Develops key account strategies to align with corporate sales and marketing strategy.
  • Oversee a continued development and training plan to ensure sales skills are in line with management competencies and expectations and product knowledge is effective in the market.
  • Works with the training manager to educate and promote selling techniques and guidelines for international account selling requirements.
  • Selects, develops, evaluates and motivates sales personnel to ensure individual and company growth.
  • Manages the relationships with other collaborative partners including marketing, product management and category management to ensure alignment to sales targets and market requirements.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with critical key accounts to increase existing business.
  • Evaluates existing and new territories to determine most effective sales approach and requirements to fulfil the needs of the target market and customers.
  • Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are in place to manage profitability, exposure to risk and effective working practices.
  • Prepares and implements international hardware sales budget and operate within those guidelines.
  • Leads or participates in special projects, cross-functional or globally as needed.
  • Represents Quanex and Hardware Solutions at related industry trade associations or related organisations.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business.
  • Proven experience of sales experience working in a senior customer position within pan-EU companies.
  • Prove sales management experience across multiple geographical territories is required, with knowledge of market requirements.
  • Preferably, the ideal candidate will have Industrial/Manufacturing sales and knowledge of building long term key account plans.
  • Strong performance management skills and good analytical skills to drive outcomes and improvements to revenue and profitability.
  • Travel up to 50% of travel required, including international travel.
