The VP Regulations & Quality Management System

• Builds the worldwide Quality Management System of Safran Seats based on One Safran processes and a robust and simplified documentation system
• Maintains or obtains regulatory approvals (Part 21J, Part 21G and Part 145) and AS9100 quality system certifications, as well as anticipates new requirements for the domain, such as Flight Safety Management System, and facilitates relationships with the authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the strategy for the Company quality management systems AS/EN 9100 certification (and others, including NADCAP), ensuring compliance of these systems to Safran, customers and aviation authorities requirements;
• Ensure One Safran processes are fully implemented and mature
• Define and drive the implementation of Flight Safety Management System across all sites of Safran Seats
• Manage internal and external audits programme. Ensure the corrective actions associated with internal and external audits are properly managed.
• Prepare and present periodic Quality Management System reviews as well as quality-related KPI's at company ExCom level to report on the effectiveness of the QMS.
• Develop strong alignment and synergies in the regulatory approvals (Part21J, Part21G and Part145) management across Safran Seats, and federate teams to optimize the architecture of regulatory agreements.
• Provide the expertise support for the applicable regulations to our design, production and maintenance organisations, and facilitate the relationships with the authorities and certifications bodies.
• Represent Safran Seats in working groups within Safran and with the authorities and the industry, aiming at preparing the future rules and standards
• Ensure the mission of Chief of the Independent System Monitoring for Safran Seats Part 21J approval as EASA Form4-DOA holder
• Be permanent interim to EVP Quality with regards to Form4 holder role of Part21G approvals in France
• Manage hierarchically and functionally the worldwide Quality Management System teams (15 - 20 people)

Job Requirements

- In-depth understanding and experience of implementing quality system and managing quality teams.
- Strong management skills, analytical skills.
- Able to implement at the worldwide level the unified quality management system strategy as well as contribute to its execution at the local level and drive “global through local” success within matrix organization.
- High level of competency and accuracy in writing and maintaining clear and professional documentation relating to integrated management systems
- Self-starter, striving for results.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with the different stakeholders (internal & external).
- Change agent and team player; develops a vision and creates the conditions for success by motivating his / her team and the other colleagues and leveraging their strengths.
- Strong capacity to contribute to teamwork with his/her peers.
- Good leadership skills, able to both manage and develop his / her team of direct reports and to motivate functional reports.
