Job description

Join OneAdvanced

To lead the engineering teams that build and ship OneAdvanced's sector SaaS products, translating product strategy into a technical roadmap and delivering it through the "OneStack" Agentic SDLC. You will drive a 6x delivery performance multiplier, uphold the highest standards of quality, security and user experience, and ensure product engineering initiatives are executed on time and aligned to customer and business needs.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary VP of Product Engineering to lead the development and delivery of OneAdvanced's sector SaaS products. You will lead a talented team of engineers, define the technical roadmap for your products, and own the end-to-end execution of product engineering initiatives, from ideation through to deployment and ongoing optimisation. You are a strategic technologist with a strong hands‑on engineering background and proven delivery leadership. You partner closely with Product Management, Design and cross-functional stakeholders to turn product requirements into achievable engineering goals, and with the Platform Architecture & Engineering and Reliability & Technology Operations functions to build on the shared platform fabric and agentic engineering practices, rather than duplicating them. You are accountable for the quality, scalability, security and user experience of everything your teams ship.

What You Will Do

. Team Leadership & Technical Vision

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and manage the product engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Technical Vision & Roadmap: Define the technical vision and roadmap for your products, aligning them with the overall business strategy, the enterprise architecture blueprint, and customer needs.

  • Continuous Improvement Culture: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, learning, and knowledge sharing within the product engineering team.

Product Development Lifecycle & Delivery

  • Cross-Functional Translation: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical specifications and achievable engineering goals.

  • End-to-End Delivery: Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.

  • Engineering Best Practice: Oversee the implementation of best practices in software development, quality assurance, and release management to ensure efficient and scalable product engineering processes.

  • Delivery Management: Prioritise tasks, manage resources, and deliver results within tight deadlines, using Agile development methodologies and modern product engineering tools and practices.

Agentic Engineering & 6x Velocity

  • Agentic SDLC Adoption: Adopt and build on the "OneStack" Agentic SDLC within your product teams, leveraging AI agents to automate the toil of testing, deployment, and remediation.

  • 6x Performance Multiplier: Evolve your engineering teams' capabilities and ways of working to unlock a 6x improvement in delivery performance and quality, in line with the enterprise SDLC transformation.

  • Role-Modelling Quality: Use your product engineering team as a benchmark for engineering excellence, demonstrating the power of agentic, AI-augmented workflows in a high-stakes commercial environment.

Technology & Market Insight

  • Emerging Technology Scanning: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

  • External Partner Management: Manage relationships with external technology partners, vendors, and contractors to leverage external expertise and drive successful product outcomes.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Product Performance

  • Go-to-Market Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support, to ensure alignment and successful product launches.

  • Data-Informed Optimisation: Monitor and analyse product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to drive data-informed decision-making and product optimisation.

  • User Experience: Maintain a strong focus on user experience, ensuring products meet the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and performance.

What You Will Have

Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a leader in product engineering, with a track record of successfully delivering software products in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Technical Background: Strong technical background and hands‑on experience in software development, architecture, and engineering practices.

  • Ways of Working: Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience with modern product engineering tools and practices, including AI-augmented and agentic engineering approaches.

  • Commercial Impact: Demonstrated experience driving COGS efficiency and managing technical integrations for M&A.
