Job summary

Citi is seeking a VP Product Designer to shape scalable product experiences within a fast-moving fintech environment. You will design from the component up, own the design system, and partner with engineering, product, and research to ship enterprise-grade designs.

You will leverage AI-tools, ensure accessibility, and drive precise developer handoffs, mentorship, and continuous learning in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience in Product Design, UX, Design Systems.
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise design systems.
• Strong expertise in Figma, including components, variants, tokens, and developer handoff.
• Experience designing AI-powered products, copilots, or intelligent workflows.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) and user-centered design principles.
• Strong collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, Research, and business teams.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and design-to-code workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate on product experiences at speed in a high-output, agile environment.
• Build and maintain scalable design system components from the ground up, including tokens and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into polished, production-ready designs.
• Own the developer handoff process with clean, well-annotated files and specs for engineers.
• Partner with QA to catch design drift and ensure shipped products match intent.
• Contribute to and evolve our component library with clear naming conventions and states.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and iteration cycles.
• Participate in design critiques to continuously raise the bar on craft and usability.
