Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vice President (VP) of Product & Engineering to lead our teams as we scale our platform and product offerings. You will shape the strategic direction of our product development, ensure an efficient engineering organization, and drive Helio’s vision of accessible crypto payments and blockchain transactions for businesses and users worldwide. This role reports directly to the founders of Helio.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development:

• Lead, inspire, hire, and grow our Engineering and Product teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, autonomy, and innovation.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members at all levels, ensuring high performance and rapid delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations) to align efforts with business objectives.

Strategic Product Roadmap & Innovation:

• Work with the executive team to define and execute a strategic product roadmap for Checkouts and Trading, aligned with Helio's mission and market opportunities.
• Prioritize features and improvements that enhance customer success and expand platform capabilities.

Technical Leadership and Execution:

• Oversee architecture and scalability of Helio’s product suite, including developer APIs, trading, and checkout solutions.
• Champion best practices in engineering processes, from ideation to deployment and maintenance, ensuring high standards of reliability and security.
• Ensure engineering excellence from design to post-launch support, delivering innovative solutions aligned with business goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience (10+ years) in engineering and product leadership, with at least 5 years in a VP or senior leadership role within a fast-growing tech company.
• Track record of scaling engineering and product teams in high-growth environments, ideally in Web3, fintech, or SaaS sectors.
• Successful delivery of complex, mission-critical products from concept to iteration.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and architecture, understanding scalable, distributed systems.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning efforts with business goals.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to inspire teams and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for Web3, trading, crypto payments, and building impactful products in the digital economy.
