Job summary

GSK seeks a VP Medicine Development Leader in Stevenage to steer global medicine development from PoC to initial approvals in major markets. You will chair the Medicine Development Team, align with Early Development Lead and Medicine Commercial Lead, and drive strategy across clinical, regulatory and manufacturing functions.

The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence at least two days per week, with planned office relocation to Cambridge by early 2029 as timelines are set by the Company.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree including MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA or MS.
• Drug development expertise across global pharma/biotech.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary, matrixed teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of accountability for medicine development globally.
• Lead cross-functional MDT and coordinate with EDL, MCL and regulatory leads.
• Deliver strategic development plans aligning with R&D strategy.
• Oversee resource planning, budgets and lifecycle management.
