This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our European Equity Sales business in London. Reporting to the UK Head of Cash Equity Sales and the Head of Continental Clients, the role focuses on managing and monetising global research and sales services. You will oversee client relationships and contract management for over 200 clients, including responsibilities for contract negotiation, pricing, revenue tracking, and performance monitoring across European clients. The role involves strategic planning with global teams, industry trend analysis, and representing RBC at industry events. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills are essential.

What will you do?

  1. Collaborate with management to identify growth opportunities using internal and external data sources.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with industry partners for feedback and relationship strengthening.
  3. Negotiate research pricing and evolve internal pricing structures.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely reporting across sales, trading, and research.
  5. Coordinate with legal, finance, operations, and technology teams to improve processes.
  6. Finalize legal agreements and manage research revenue realization.
  7. Analyze client voting metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Work with technology and client teams to automate revenue and client interaction metrics.
  9. Align operational processes with global standards, including billing and revenue management.
  10. Conduct profitability and efficiency analyses for research services.
  11. Manage internal client review processes and strategic planning.
  12. Oversee client tiering and CRM best practices.
  13. Mentor junior team members and ensure regulatory compliance.
  14. Represent RBC professionally and uphold company values.
  15. Collaborate with e-commerce to meet client needs and implement changes.
  16. Follow firm policies and escalate operational risks as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience with European Equity markets at a major sell-side firm.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and buy/sell side relationships.
  • Knowledge of MiFID II regulations affecting research pricing and consumption.
  • Degree or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certified professional status.
  • Experience in client needs analysis and solution provision.
