Job summary

WPP Media in London seeks a VP Engineering Excellence (Solution Architect) to lead the design and governance of scalable data pipelines for a premier data-driven client. You will guide BI and Data Excellence teams within an AWS-native environment, ensuring accurate, well-structured outputs that power decision-making.

This UK-based role sits at the center of OpenDoor, reporting to the Global Data, Technology and Analytics Lead.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading data engineering and engineering excellence in a media/tech environment.
Ability to design scalable data platforms and ensure data quality.
Hands-on with data transformation tools and cloud data services (AWS).
Strong stakeholder management across cross-functional teams.
Experience with advertising or marketing data is a plus.

Responsibilities

Partner with a major client to deliver large-scale digital transformation programmes.
Lead an Engineering BI team to design and govern data pipelines in a fully AWS-native environment.
Collaborate with BI, Data Excellence, Activation, Client Service and Planning teams.
Develop expertise in WPP Media’s data landscape to orchestrate efficient solution architecture.
Document and communicate architecture to a wide audience, translating requirements into designs.
