Job Description

The team are responsible for risk evaluation of financing proposals across EMEA, including project finance, asset acquisition financing, asset finance (aviation, shipping, real estate), and related derivatives. As a VP it is expected that you will have experience of credit sanctioning in your current/previous role.

  • Provide guidance to the front office to ensure a consistent credit approach, covering procedures, risk articulation, and risk appetite guidance for balanced decision-making.
  • Conduct risk evaluations and monitor project finance credits.
  • Provide guidance to the front office on credit procedures, risk mitigation, and decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed and well-articulated credit papers.
  • Monitor debtors and industry sub-sectors within an assigned portfolio.
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop solutions for problematic cases - in particular with origination, front office credit, and portfolio management teams.


The Successful Applicant

  • A solid background in project finance - at least 6 years of solid PF exposure
  • You must demonstrable experience of credit sanctioning
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a major financial institution or relevant experience with a ratings agency.
  • Strong knowledge of lending structures, cash-flow analysis, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage transactions from inception to approval independently.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
