Profile Criteria:
- Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIA / IIA or other relevant qualification) with 3+ years of experience managing and leading audits/teams
- Financial Crime audit experience
- Banking sector experience, preferably within a medium or large global corporate and/or investment banking business
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities / Coverage:
The Audit Manager is primarily responsible for the timely delivery of internal audit assignments, including:
- Preparing planning materials to ensure internal controls covering key risks are appropriately tested, providing assurance to the Board, Group Management, Entity Management, regulators, and other stakeholders of an effective internal control environment.
- Overseeing work performed by team members, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Directing testing to cover key risk areas, determining scope and focus in agreement with the Audit Partner, and sharing expertise with team members.
- Preparing draft Audit Control Recommendations (ACRs) for review by Audit Department Management, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communicating findings and recommendations. The Audit Manager must effectively communicate issues to AD Management and senior stakeholders, demonstrating resilience and clarity.
- Preparing the final internal audit report, clearly highlighting areas of positive assurance and areas needing improvement.
- Following up and closing internal audit recommendations, validating management actions, and providing guidance on closure of High and Moderate Priority recommendations.
- Assisting the Audit Partner in maintaining relationships with senior management (Directors and Executives), providing insights into business activities and key risks.
- Contributing to Audit Department initiatives and collaborating across EMEA.
