Job summary

Nomura is seeking a technologist to contribute to its global execution services algo team. The role focuses on building and enhancing the core algorithmic trading platform used across multiple markets.

The candidate will work closely with Quants, deliver new features, and support front-office applications while adhering to architecture standards. A strong background in Java and distributed systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Design and development of algorithmic trading systems.
• Hands-on Java development for equity markets.
• Ability to work across departments and geographies.
• Bachelor or Master in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Deliver features and fixes to the algo trading platform.
• Participate in full project lifecycle: analysis, design, data mapping, development and testing.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for front-office applications when needed.
• Ensure compliance with architecture strategy and development standards.
• Collaborate with business and development teams on priorities.
• Assist in managing projects for new systems or upgrades as required.
