What it's like to work here
Reporting to the General Manager, this is primarily a desk-based role, but you'll work in some of the most beautiful settings during an exciting time for our places, with great colleagues.
The South Lakes portfolio includes Hilltop, Wray Estate, Steam Yacht Gondola, and a wider countryside estate featuring iconic Lake District landscapes like Tarn Hows, Claife, and Little Langdale.
Our locations are somewhat remote, so consider your transportation options before applying. You will support colleagues across all teams within the portfolio.
We are a busy team with major projects underway to refurbish and enhance visitor experiences at Hilltop and Wray. Our team is passionate about delivering excellence and memorable visits for our visitors.
What you'll be doing
You will collaborate across departments to implement the Volunteering and Community plan, providing administrative, communication, and event support aligned with priorities.
You will work with teams in programming, curation, gardens, estates, and visitor experience, supporting Volunteer Managers to ensure volunteers have a positive experience. Additionally, you'll assist the General Manager with stakeholder mapping and engagement with the four Parish Councils in the portfolio.
