The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organisation that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Writer/Journalist Programme

This role focuses on content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog. It is a part-time, 12 hours per week, 12-week unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead to complete the programme in fewer weeks.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Article writing
  2. Researching topics
  3. Assisting with advocacy efforts
  4. Creating a personal fundraising campaign and meeting targets

Experience: No prior experience necessary. We seek passionate individuals eager to fight poverty and advocate for change, regardless of background or GPA.

Details: This is an unpaid programme, although college credit may be available.

Start Date: New programmes begin monthly; you choose your start month.
