An exciting opportunity for a volunteer Website Assistant to contribute to the development of a community-focused website for an arts organization. This role involves updating information, adding photos, and ensuring the website remains a valuable resource for volunteers and the public. You'll work closely with a supportive team and gain hands-on experience in website management and content creation using WordPress. Join a passionate community dedicated to enhancing local arts engagement and accessibility while developing your skills in a friendly environment.
Role:
We are looking for a volunteer Website Assistant, to help to develop our website as a resource for volunteers, artists and members of the public to find out information about Cromer Artspace. This will involve adding and updating information and photos provided by the trustees and other volunteers and regularly reviewing the website to ensure information is up to date and relevant. There may also be an opportunity to develop the role by sourcing and producing content, with the approval of the trustees. If you are interested in the Arts, well-organised, confident using computers, and know about WordPress or are willing to learn, you may be the person we are looking for. This opportunity is a chance to learn more about website development and using WordPress in an Arts setting, as well as being part of a friendly and committed team of volunteers.
You will have regular contact with the other volunteers working on the website and will have support from the lead Trustee for the website, who will also provide training in WordPress, if needed. You will receive the monthly Volunteers’ Newsletter and be able to meet other volunteers at the Volunteer Get Togethers.
Time commitment:
Volunteering will take place from home, but there will be occasional meetings with other volunteers to discuss the website. You will need to have your own PC or laptop with access to the internet to access the website control system.
About the organisation:
Cromer Artspace aims to engage and inspire the local community with art in public places, encouraging audience engagement and participation by increasing the understanding of the arts. We aim to be fresh and outward looking, supporting artists and bringing works and events of quality and imagination to Cromer. Cromer Artspace will enable projects which increase accessibility, support local businesses and help the arts to become valued as a vital part of local life.
