We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Recruiter to help ensure that CPRE Hertfordshire is staffed with suitable, skilled volunteers to achieve our objectives, grow our capacity, and expand our influence and impact.

What are we looking for?
  • Home-based with occasional meetings online or at our Welwyn office
  • Availability to meet candidates and participate in events
  • Interest in the countryside and experience in recruiting or managing volunteers or staff
  • Friendly personality with excellent communication skills
  • Access to a computer and internet, proficient in MS Office and online research
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail, initiative, good judgment, and own transportation
  • Willingness to travel around Hertfordshire
  • Some weekday availability
  • Residency in Hertfordshire

Desirable: previous volunteer experience or working with Board-level stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

This role involves recruiting volunteers, providing induction, training, support, and recognition, and acting as an ambassador for the charity. Duties include identifying and attracting volunteers, coordinating with staff, maintaining records, and liaising with external organizations. Approximately 4 hours per week, flexible and remote, with some attendance at events.
