Job description

Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre (WT&PC) is the largest indoor tennis facility in Wales, and one of the largest in Great Britain. Our charity provides sporting opportunities for individuals across North Wales and beyond.

What difference will you make?

As part of our board you will play a vital role in making sure that Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre achieves its core purpose. As part of the board you will oversee the overall management and administration of the charity, and ensure that WT&PC has a clear strategy. Just as importantly, you will help to support and challenge the executive team to enable the Centre to grow and thrive, and through this, support our customers and users as best as we can.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board. Whilst experience as a trustee is valued, you do not need previous governance experience – we will provide a full induction and training. We are not expressly seeking candidates with experience in tennis, or sport. We would welcome applications from anyone interested in supporting our charitable organisation. We would prefer applicants to live locally to Wrexham, or be willing to travel to attend meetings in person where possible. What will you be doing?

As a registered charity, we exist to Promote community participation in healthy recreation, and Advance the physical education of young people, and others, within our community We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to support our experienced board of trustees. In particular, we are keen to recruit individuals with experience in communications and digital marketing, fundraising or human resources, but we would welcome applications from any interested party.
