The AVOCADO Foundation is seeking a talented volunteer podcast producer to join our team of #WorldChangers on a mission to eradicate the economic inequalities experienced by under-represented youth, non-profits and entrepreneurs.

Your podcast production expertise will significantly enhance the quality and reach of our messaging, ensuring that our insights and stories resonate with a broader audience. This role directly supports our strategic goal of being an internationally trusted voice in financial education, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building support. By contributing to the production and promotion of the World Changers Podcast, Fundraising Podcast, and other AVOCADO podcasts, you will help us inspire, educate, and engage communities around the world.

What are we looking for? Podcast Production Expertise Proficiency in audio recording, editing, and production software or other relevant tools. Creativity and Storytelling Storytelling abilities and a keen sense of how to engage audiences through compelling audio content. Attention to Detail Attention to detail to ensure quality production and clear, polished audio. Time Management Ability to manage multiple podcast episodes simultaneously and meet publishing deadlines. Communication Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Adaptability Flexibility to adjust content and production based on feedback and evolving project needs. Knowledge of Podcast Distribution Understanding of podcast hosting platforms and strategies for audience growth. Digital Awareness Comfortable using social media and supporting marketing efforts to promote episodes online.

What will you be doing?

What will you be doing? As a Podcast Producer, you will join a team working on the World Changers Podcast, the Fundraising Podcast, and other podcast series developed by The AVOCADO Foundation. You will contribute to planning, production, editing, and publishing, ensuring high-quality content that aligns with our mission. In addition to production, you will also support aspects of Digital Marketing, Media, and Communications related to the podcast. This includes writing promotional materials, creating social media content, and helping increase audience reach and engagement across platforms. Duties and Responsibilities Podcast Production Plan, record, edit, and produce engaging podcast episodes that align with the foundation’s mission. Contribute to the production process, including scripting, scheduling, recording, and post-production. Upload and distribute podcast episodes across various platforms Support to coordinate timelines to ensure podcast content is delivered on time and meets quality standards. Content Development Develop compelling episode topics and formats that reflect the Foundation’s core themes. Research and propose relevant themes and discussion points to align with our audience’s interests. Assist in writing scripts, show notes, and episode descriptions. Digital Marketing & Media Support Support the Foundation’s media and communications efforts related to podcast production. Create podcast-related promotional content, such as social media posts, audiograms, and graphics. Write or edit accompanying materials such as promotional blurbs and captions for digital channels. Help implement basic podcast marketing strategies to boost visibility and listenership. Other Requirements Maintain awareness and ensure compliance with organisational policies, including safeguarding, code of behaviour, and confidentiality and data protection. Undertake any other duties that are required and commensurate with the level of the post.
