The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.
Nonprofit Leadership Programme
This role offers insights into key skills required to lead and develop a nonprofit organization. It is a part-time, 12-hours-per-week, 12-week unpaid remote program. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks.
Advocacy Leadership Development - Meet with government members in your district; represent The Borgen Project at various events; mobilize individuals to contact their representatives in support of poverty-reduction legislation.
Fundraising Development - Learn fundraising skills; create a personal campaign and meet targets.
Recruitment - Update job postings; inform groups about openings; learn recruitment platforms; observe interviews.
Marketing and Promotion - Pitch story ideas; utilize social media; develop web messaging strategies.
Experience
No prior experience necessary. We seek passionate individuals eager to fight poverty, regardless of GPA or background.

This is an unpaid internship; college credit is available.
