With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefitting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.

Nonprofit Leadership Programme

This role provides insight into key skills required to lead and develop a nonprofit organization. It is a part-time, unpaid, remote programme of 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. If your availability is limited, you may work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.

Key areas include:

• Advocacy Leadership Development: Meet with government members; represent The Borgen Project at events; mobilize individuals to support poverty-reduction legislation.
• Fundraising Development: Learn fundraising; create and meet targets for personal campaigns.
• Recruitment: Update job postings; inform groups about openings; participate in interviews.
• Marketing and Promotion: Pitch stories; utilize social media; develop web messaging strategies.

Experience: No prior experience necessary. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.

Details: Unpaid internship with college credit available.
