The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organisation that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefitting close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Nonprofit Leadership Programme

This role provides insight into the key skills required to lead and develop a nonprofit organization. It is a part-time, 12-hours-per-week, 12-week unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.

Advocacy Leadership Development: Meet with government members in your district; represent The Borgen Project at various events; mobilize individuals to contact their representatives in support of poverty-reduction legislation.

Fundraising Development: Learn to fundraise, create a personal fundraising campaign, and meet targets.

Recruitment: Update job postings, inform groups about openings, learn recruitment platforms, and listen to interviews.

Marketing and Promotion: Pitch story ideas to media, utilize social media, and develop web messaging strategies.

Experience: No prior experience necessary. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.

Details: This is an unpaid internship; college credit may be available.

Start Date: New programmes start every month. You can choose your start month.
