City Health Care Partnership

Aim:

CISS provide information & support to individuals aged 18 years + who are providing a caring role for a family member or friend who could not manage without their support.

The Volunteers are required to support the Care Support Worker with the Carers Cuppa Group. 

Key skills and experience:

• Enjoy conversation and meeting new people.
• Can be sympathetic and understanding of service users’ needs
• Can use their initiative as well as working under direction.
• Can travel to the group venue independently.

Other Information:

City Health Care Partnership CIC have obligations to ensure competence and safety and therefore the volunteer will be required to undertake statutory and mandatory training to undertake this role.

• Supporting with infection prevention for e.g. wiping down chairs and equipment.
• Preparing and setting up lightweight equipment and refreshments.
• Supporting and joining in with any sit-down activities such as a quiz, bingo and any arts and crafts
