  • Support life-saving efforts by ensuring front-line teams are well-equipped and informed.
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalents (e.g., Canva, Figma).
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to design for both print and digital formats.
  • Experience in preparing artwork for professional printing (bleeds, margins, colour formats).
  • Attention to detail in creating user-focused, clear designs for technical content.
Preferred Experience
  • Creating training materials or educational resources.
  • Designing quick-reference tools like check cards or cue sheets.
  • Developing templates for magazines or multi-page documents.
  • Designing social media graphics and web assets.
  • Experience in non-profit, humanitarian, or maritime sectors (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with branding and style guides.
What will you be doing?

As a volunteer graphic designer, you will develop visual assets supporting SAR training and outreach, including:

  • Designing course manuals, presentations, and visual aids.
  • Creating check cards and quick-reference tools for operational use.
  • Developing a magazine template for publications.
  • Producing online adverts and social media graphics to raise awareness.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all materials.
What we’re looking for
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or alternatives).
  • Experience designing for both print and digital formats.
  • Good eye for layout, typography, and clarity.

  • Opportunity to contribute to a global cause saving lives at sea.
  • Portfolio-worthy projects with real-world impact.
