VoiceAbility is seeking volunteers in Coventry and Warwickshire to support individuals with disabilities and mental health issues. Roles include Hospital Visitor Volunteers, Support Session Volunteers, and Administrative Support Volunteers. Volunteers will help clients navigate challenges and ensure their voices are heard. A minimum commitment of 3 hours per week is required, and all volunteering occurs Monday to Friday.

Volunteer Positions Available in Coventry and Warwickshire
Hospital Visitor Volunteers: Visit hospital settings to ensure individuals detained under the Mental Health Act are aware of their right to an IMHA qualified advocate. Volunteers help clients access advocates and support advocacy work.
As a hospital volunteer, you might:
You will support people over 18 with disabilities, including those with mental health issues, learning difficulties, autism, or other disabilities. Your role involves supporting clients to understand and undertake tasks on a one-to-one basis, tailored to individual needs.
Support Session Volunteers: Help people have their say when it matters most, navigate challenges, and ensure their needs are met. Assist individuals in making complaints and using local services.
Administrative Support Volunteers: Provide support to advocacy service teams through various administrative tasks.
All volunteering takes place Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 17:00. Applicants must be over 18 and reside in the UK. Please note, there are no weekend or evening opportunities.
Safeguarding and Inclusion
VoiceAbility is committed to safeguarding all clients. Volunteers will need to undertake a DBS check and provide contact details for two referees, in line with our recruitment practices.
