Introduction

Are you a driver with your own insured vehicle, who would like to help support our vital work for a couple of hours a week?

We aim to make every day the best day possible for our patients and their loved ones here in South Devon and our bank Volunteer Drivers are a critical part of our clinical team.

This role supports our clinical colleagues and patients to ensure that prescriptions and documents are transported in a timely manner between the hospice, the hospital and clinic settings, so that we can provide the best possible quality of care.

As part of our team of bank volunteer drivers, you will be paired with another volunteer driver on a day of your choosing to be on call when our clinical team need prescriptions and documents collected or delivered.

This role provides you with the opportunity to contribute to the work of the hospice, be part of our growing volunteer community and support us to care for our patients and their loved ones.

Please be advised, you will be required to have your own vehicle, a clean driving licence and appropriate insurance. Mileage expenses will be provided.
