Volunteer Driver Opportunities in North Ayrshire

There are various volunteering opportunities available within North Ayrshire.

Please browse the selection below to find a suitable volunteering opportunity in your local area:

We offer free transport to cancer patients and, where possible, their escorts to all hospitals and clinics in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and throughout Ayrshire. Patients are collected from their homes, accompanied to hospital, and taken home after treatment. This service is especially useful for patients who feel unwell, those living in rural areas, the elderly, and parents taking their children for treatment. We also provide transport for the hospice and to appointments for all therapy sessions.

We can only continue the service with the support of our volunteer drivers. If you can commit a few hours weekly, fortnightly, or monthly to driving and waiting for patients, please consider volunteering with us.

To safeguard both service users and drivers, all volunteers are required to be PVG checked, own a vehicle (MOT & insured), and have a valid, clean driving license. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed.
