An established charity is seeking dedicated volunteer tutors to help offenders transform their lives through education. This rewarding opportunity allows you to volunteer from home, dedicating just three hours a week to make a significant impact. You'll provide tutoring in various subjects, including literacy and practical morals, while receiving comprehensive training to support your efforts. Join a compassionate team that values diversity and inclusivity, and contribute to meaningful change in the lives of individuals seeking a fresh start. Your support can empower others to achieve their goals and enhance their skills.
Are you interested in empowering offenders to make positive changes to their lives?
Do you want to volunteer from home at a time to suit you?
Can you spare 3 hours a week?
If the answer to the above questions is yes, then come and join our team of volunteer tutors.
Criminon UK is a national charity that has been providing distance-learning courses for offenders and ex-offenders for over 20 years.
Four of our courses in literacy, practical morals, and drug awareness are accredited through Laser Learning Awards, an Ofqual approved organisation affiliated with the University of Kent.
Our courses are based upon the non-religious works of L Ron Hubbard, who was also the founder of Scientology. However, we are a secular charity that is independently managed, and we welcome anyone interested in tutoring, irrespective of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or religious or non-religious belief.
Whilst previous tutoring experience will be advantageous, no experience is necessary as full training will be given.
Please contact Phil Tyler (Deputy Executive Director) for an application pack by sending an email to phil.tyler@criminon.org.uk or contact us on 01342 316042.
